Zincworks are specialists in hard metal roofing and cladding systems. We work mainly within Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, though will at times work further afield within England.
We have twenty years experience in the metal roofing industry, in which time we have earned ourselves a reputation as being a reliable company with a thorough approach to our work and have gained Tinsmith Accreditation A.
We are recommended installers of VMZinc, Rheinzink and Swedish Steel, having undergone a vetting process from either the manufacturer, the Federation of Traditional Metal Roofing Contractors (FTMRC), of whom we are a member, or both. This not only gives our customers trust in our credentials, but also allows us to obtain the maximum-term manufacturers' warranties available, on their behalf.
Our zinc and copper-clad office not only provides a good space for working/meetings, but also serves as a large-scale sample board. Customers are welcome, by prior appointment, to peruse the exterior of the building at their leisure, whilst we prepare a cup of tea or coffee for you to enjoy whilst discussing specific details and materials with you.
We are happy to do a site visit and give a no-obligation quotation for a room that will meet your requirements.
We encourage our clients to have input during the design stage, allowing them to specify as little or as much as they need.
To this end, some clients with experience in carpentry may wish only to purchase the roof structure and complete the rest themselves.

ROB WINEARLS
Director/Installer
Rob has worked within the metal roofing industry for the past 20 years. In this time he has honed his craft and earned the Tinsmith Accreditation A qualification. Having sub-contracted to other firms for many years, Rob began sourcing his own projects in 2011, taking the decision to form the company in 2013.
SOPHIE WINEARLS
Director/Estimator
Sophie is responsible for estimating, providing initial technical assistance (i.e. in relation to substrate works), invoicing and the day-to-day administration of the business.

ASHLEY GILL
Sub-contractor
Ashley is an experienced tinsmith having worked within the industry for 21-years; he holds an NVQ Level 2 in metal roofing. Ashley is meticulous in his work and has a keen eye for detail.
cameron gubbings
Installer
Cameron has worked as a metal roofer for the past six years. During this time he has accomplished his NVQ Level 2 and completed training courses with VMZinc and Rheinzink. Cameron says of his job, "I enjoy the workmanship that is required and the fact that everything is handmade on site.
SAM DREW
Installer
Sam has three years experience working within the metal roofing industry; he also holds an NVQ Level 2 in metal roofing. Sam says of his job, "I like the challenge that this job gives me and overcoming problems that may occur when working. I think hard metal roofing looks aesthetically pleasing on most types of buildings and works particularly well when old buildings meet new extensions".
DUNCAN MURRAY
Installer
Duncan has been learning his trade for approaching 2-years, receiving in-house training from the more experienced members of the team and external training in the forms of 'VMZinc at Work' and the 'IOSH Working Safely' course.
GLEN HALL
Sub-contractor
Glen has upwards of twenty five years experience within the metal roofing industry. His roofing career has taken him across the country and seen him work on a wide variety of projects.
GEORGE BAKER
Apprentice
George has recently joined the team as a trainee. He is looking forward to learning a new craft and expanding his knowledge/skills; in particular, how to create German-swept bottoms and soldering. He enjoys working within our amiable team and looks forward to creating roofs, that in his words, "...will be here long after I am".
